April has a background in education, having been a teacher for several years, education technology consultant, and most recently the CEO of Dwell Differently, which helps people to memorize scripture. She earned a doctorate in educational leadership in 2025 and is passionate about leading the children's ministry in a way that inspires each student to want to know Jesus more. April has been attending Sherwood Oaks since 2018. She is married to Stephen and they have three children: Will, Ruby, and Graham. When she's not at Sherwood Oaks, you might find her at Uptown Cafe or Morgansterns!
